Your London Marathon experience

You’ll start the iconic 26.2 miles in Greenwich Park accompanied by 50,000 other runners. Along the route, you’ll run past the Cutty Sark, over the world-famous Tower Bridge and through the skyscrapers of Canary Wharf.

The streets will be lined by spectators, cheering you on as you run towards the Mall for a real hero’s welcome in front of Buckingham Palace.

Team Changing Faces perks

Whether you’re a seasoned or first-time runner, Changing Faces will be with you every step of the way. We offer all our runners a fantastic support package.

You’ll need to commit to raising a minimum of £2500, and you’ll receive dedicated support from our fundraising team along with a free Changing Faces running vest. We’ll also be there on the day, cheering you on as loudly as we can!

The difference you can make

There are currently an estimated 1.3m children and adults living with a visible difference in the UK and they face multiple challenges. They are vulnerable to isolation, loneliness, social anxiety and low self-esteem. They face staring, harassment, bullying and hate crime.

Many people with a visible difference face multiple levels of discrimination every day and our survey showed that shockingly, 50% said they felt self-conscious or embarrassed about their visible difference and 49% had experienced hostile behaviour. Read more about the impact on people’s lives.

We’re here to support people affected by visible difference to live the life they choose and free from discrimination. We know it’s possible. Apply for a Changing Faces charity place in the London Marathon and pledge your support for a world where visible difference is respected. Always.

The money you raise can make this possible by providing the confidence, support and the opportunity to thousands of people with a visible difference.
